Since March 2008 the consumption of alcohol fuel, ethanol, exceeds that of gasoline. Thus we can say that Brazil is the only country in the world where "alternative" fuel is fossil and the "main" is renewable. This was only possible thanks to the wise decision made after the shock of 1975 when we launched a bold program to replace oil at the time. Today 25% ethanol mixed with gasoline, we have a fleet of flex that already reaches 90% of new vehicles and 37% of the total, and we have a wide distribution of pure ethanol in all gas stations.
